While browsing looking for nice valid site to complete my collection I stumbled on Mutiny Design, a Web Design and Development company.
Good overall design, look fresh, a bit too much in the 2.0 touch for my taste but still good. Markup valid xhtml 1.0 Transitional and valid CSS 2. From a web company I don’t expect less. Now when it comes to accessibility…I was very surprised.
The website doesn’t work if you disable javascript. It’s not just missing the fancy stuff, only the script page from the menu actually link to something. Can’t contact them, can’t view the portfolio, anchor link not working.
I know, user without javascript are rare but when you are supposed to show the lead in design and web development at least you make a good accessible website.

why is http://www.yoursiteisvalid.com design like reading teletext in the early 90’s ?
Wasn’t sure if the above comment was a spam or not but it seemed to make sense a little…
So David, could you tell me a bit more about what you don’t like on the design? I don’t know how teletext was in the early 90’s but I guess it wasn’t pretty (and it still isn’t). And may I suggest you comment on this post http://www.yoursiteisvalid.com/validnews/yoursiteisvalid-gallery-design-changed-791.html as it is clearly more relevant to it than Mutiny Design.
Hi there!
Thanks for your comments.
We’ve recently redesigned the site and I was tasked with a large part of the development side. It’s not perfect but hopefully much better than before. I’m more concerned with accessibility than a lot of people, including the guy who did the previous site mentioned here.
I look forward to your comments as to what can be improved, especially anything with regard to JS and accessibility.
Cheers!
Hi Tom,
Thanks for taking the time to letting me know about the new design. It is definitely better, and the new design is very nice too. Good work.
It’s amazing how far you went in the little details but it is worth it. The banner with the boat on the homepage looks particularly crisp, fantastic picture.
I’ve had a look around and can’t see any major issue, keep up the good work!
Forgot to mention that you should enclose your javascript functions at the top with <![CDATA[ ..... ]]>
Otherwise the html parser think the tag in you javascript are html tags. That and the target _blank and the site would be valid.
