Today I’ll be talking about a nice little website from a company called limeknight. If you’ve been reading the previous winner posts you should start to get what I like.
Clean, open, a bit of typo and nice pictures? Yes that’s about it. So this site as all of that. Good use of Times new roman for the titles. The menu bar could have been a bit more catchy though, at least a roll over on the links.
The interesting bit is the code I think. First this big logo made in commented ascii art. Awesome! Then comments to separate parts of the tag. From what I read in the meta and what they explain on the website I think this actually powered by their own CMS.
An other interesting part is the menu. See those conditional comment for ie 6 and 7? Looks like the skull of pure css drop down menu don’t you think? Which means there is certainly a feature in the cms to make dropdown links on the menu. Nice. Oh and it validate xhtml strict of course.
I would be very interested to see a demo on this CMS, I’ll keep an eye on it.
