“In need of a redesign” series. Part 1, Simply Radiators

Their are hundreds of thousand websites out there that need a redesign. I am not aiming at writing about all of them of course but a hand picked selection. They are not the worst but could do far better with some simple tweaks and TLC.

Simply radiators is a Central heating radiators supplier. The website is fairly average but is valid. Now the code itself is obviously from a ui based tool like Dreamweaver where the use of the classes for every tags is common practice.

First of all I would change the font size to something readable. 10px is way to small for Verdana. Adding some padding on the boxes could also help displaying the text in a better way. Bigger titles, with maybe a different colour/font could add a bit of typography in this bland site.

The menu is not very present either and could be easily be improved y adding spaces and 1px borders on the link. And bigger text.

This is not a bad website and like most of the Internet could be more attractive with just a few css changes and some quality pictures.

Now for the arsh point I think the logo is bad and needs complete redesign. The current one doesn’t carry anything about the brand or the company.
