What a surprise this morning when opening my private mailbox (don’t tell the boss). Google strike again introducing themes pack for Gmail (see screenshot at the end). If you don’t have the Themes tab in your preferences panel yet it means the option hasn’t been activated for your box. But don’t worry it will come at some point later.
So what are Gmail themes? Basically a selection of special css file to style up your mailbox. It’s just about the look. Although apparently some theme change during the day and you will be asked to enter the City you leave in.
The one I use now is Desk, a grungy desk like theme with a nice wood background:
