So we’ve seen the grungy, the colorful, large background and large title. But I’ve got a couple more to list before I can claim my list complete.

So that brings us to five trend. Now lets try to guess what will show up next.
Real huge background
One thing I’ve noticed is that we always try to represent the reality with more and more details. I wouldn’t be surprised to see website starting to use huge photo and incorporate web element in them. I am pretty sure I’ve seen a few already.
3d effects
Similar to the previous one, having 3d like element on a page to bring the user into a whole new dimension where nothing is flat anymore. Flash is quite good at that but with the recent progress in javascript scripting and engine we could imagine website that behave in false 3 dimension.
More grungy texture
the best examples of grungy websites I’ve seen most of the time are environmental website using paper/earth/leaf texture. And because we live in a world scared of what the environment will be in the future I think those kind of site will continue to grow.
Clean is the new Glossy
The web 2.0 revolution brought a large range of glossy site, looking all the same. I think the clean style is the new glossy. You can make a clean site easily and if you’re half good it will look nice. And don’t get me wrong, I like simple website. But when they start to be all the same it is never good news.
Rounded corners, shadows, weird borders…css 3 is almost there yet so far
Some of the new features in css are gonna make our life easier as designer. Having a rounded corner property instead of having to create images is just awesome. But sometimes to many features kill the features. There will always be people doing it right and doing it wrong. Let try to stay in the first part.
