Create a custom shape in photoshop
If like me you tend to use some shapes more than once you migth be interested in learning how to create your own shape and add them to the photoshop shape tool. The process is quite straigth foward and save a good amount of time in the futur.
Let’s get started.
As usual we start by vreating a new document (ctrl+n / apple+n), set the dimension to 100px x 100px ( or wathever you would need of course). Press enter and you get your canva.
Take the background layer off (rigth clic>delete). Next draw a circle (rigth clic on the shape tool and select “Elipse”) by holding the maj key.
Select the path of the shape (clic on the path thumbnail in the layer selection window), select the shape tool and choose “custom shape tool” from the menu. At the top choose a custom shape. I pick the one called circle frame because I am planning to draw one of those trendy circles we see everywhere.
Now, holding the maj key, draw the circle. You should see a little “+” near your arrow. This is because the second shape will be added to the first one. You can move the two path by selecting them with the path selection tool.
Here is mine:
Now to set this as a custom shape just select the path of your shape and go in edit>define as custom shape.
