Yes, this is real. 2340 errors in the markup for the main frame of this website: http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/

Quite impressive! Now if you look at the code it is not that bad, they just have a div before the doctype declaration…which makes all entities like &amp or &nbsp not recognized because the doctype itself is not recognized.
